Almost There: El Paso On Cusp of Pro Circuit Cup Triumph After 5-1 Win
Already in trouble in the Pro Circuit Cup, the Detroit Motors knew they needed a strong outing from their starter and good production on offense. They got one of the two.

The Motors failed to put much together on offense and wasted an impressive 6.2-inning effort from right-handed starter Geoff Becker, falling, 5-1, to the El Paso Diablos at The Motor Yard. The loss put the Motors in an even deeper hole -- they now trail El Paso 3-1.

Skylar Cole, who finished 2nd in the WC in doubles with 27 in 2024, aided the El Paso cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the shortstop was 1-3 with a walk.

Said losing manager Sean Morgan: "Obviously, we wished for a better outcome."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Motor Yard in Detroit.
