Shelby Blasts Motors, Diablos Take Game 2, 12-4
Riding the 2-hit performance of designated hitter Aaron Shelby, the El Paso Diablos stopped the visiting Detroit Motors, 12-4, in Game 2 of the Pro Circuit Cup. Shelby went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3 for the Diablos, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

A key moment came with no one out in the bottom of the first. That's when Shelby hit a sinker from Ed Hill for a 2-run home run, putting El Paso up, 3-0.

"It's a gut punch," Motors manager Sean Morgan said, "to get here and find ourselves down 0-2 in the blink of an eye."

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, October 24th , 2024 at The Motor Yard in Detroit.
