Motors Win Again, Extend Series Lead to 3-0
Chicago first baseman Sam Chapman pounded Detroit Motors pitchers at Trident Field, but it was not enough to keep the Union from falling, 6-5, in Game 3 of the Cup Qualifier. Chapman was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, though he couldn't keep the Union from slipping to a 3-0 deficit in the best-of-7 series.

Detroit used the timely hitting of Cesar Cerros to capture the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Motors on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"We found a way to get it done," Cerros said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Trident Field in Chicago.
