With starter Jason Roether leading the charge, the El Paso Diablos defeated the St. Louis Lions, 5-3, in Game 3 of the Play-in Series. The right-hander threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball at The Lions Hearth to help El Paso take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Roether, who was born in Port St. Lucie, Florida, threw 106 pitches over 6.2 innings, while allowing 1 run.

"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Roether.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Lions Hearth in St. Louis.
