Detroit (R) Beats Los Angeles (R) in Championship Cup Monday, October 16th , 2023 The Detroit (R) faithful were cheering in the streets, and Los Angeles (R) fans wiping away the tears, after the Motors won the Championship Cup at PBC Rookie Development Complex today. The Motors clinched it by knocking off the Knights 10-9 to take their 4th PBC Rookie Complex League crown. Detroit (R) took the series 4-1. "This club never gave up all year long," Detroit (R) manager Carlos Lavato told the press. "They believed they could win the title and they did." On the way to the Championship Cup title, Detroit (R) compiled a 61-27 won-loss record and finished first in the RCL East. "We just didn't play well enough to win," Knights manager Mark Wickenkamp said. "We just didn't make the big plays like they did." View Boxscore |
