Season Over for Jason Mays in Indianapolis (R) Saturday, September 30th , 2023 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against Chicago (R) Union, Clowns reliever Jason Mays was injured throwing a pitch and is expected to miss 8-9 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Indianapolis (R) skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. Taking a look at his season, Mays has made 38 relief appearances, recorded 9 saves and compiled a 1-7 won-lost mark and a 4.21 ERA. In pitching 57.2 innings, he has totaled 61 strikeouts and 31 walks. |
