New York City (R)'s Perez Sidelined for Season Wednesday, September 20th , 2023 The season is ending on a bad note for Jose Perez, closer for the New York City (R) Gothams. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Perez was hurt against the Atlanta (R) Pilots while throwing a pitch. He suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and will be out for at least 11-12 months. So far this season, Perez has no saves in 18 relief appearances with a 2-2 mark and 8.14 ERA. Opposing teams are hitting .324 against him. |
