Matamoros on Fire, Named Player of the Week Monday, September 4th , 2023 It was an extraordinary week for Alex Matamoros of the Tampa Bay (R) Thunder. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .500, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the RCL East. Last week Matamoros went 9-for-18, racked up 3 home runs and 11 RBIs and scored 6 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Tampa Bay (R) catcher. This season, Matamoros has hit 12 home runs and posted a .310 batting average. |
