Ortega Hitless, Stopped by Suns Tuesday, August 8th , 2023 The hitting streak that Houston (R) left fielder Danny Ortega had kept going for 20 games was ended by the Arizona (R) Suns. Ortega was stymied over 3 at-bats, but the rest of his team picked him up, getting the 8-2 victory at PBC Rookie Development Complex. "Hitting streaks come and go," Ortega said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win." This season, Ortega has hit 6 home runs and posted a .384 batting average. |
