Rodriguez Blisters Indianapolis (R) Sunday, August 6th , 2023 It was a downpour of hits for Emilio Rodriguez at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The Tampa Bay (R) Thunder left fielder tore into Indianapolis (R) for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace the Thunder to a rain-delayed 12-4 victory. Indianapolis (R) manager James Benjamin bemoaned his pitching, speculating his club got flustered by Rodriguez's big day. "He was beating us and we stopped locating well," he said. "That makes you get behind in the count and you can't do that when a guy is hot like Rodriguez was today. Not to take anything away from him, but bad location was the story of the ballgame." Emilio Rodriguez hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
