Saldana Cops #1 Pitcher Award in July Tuesday, August 1st , 2023 In July El Paso (R) starter Santiago Saldana confused hitters all month long. Last month's RCL West Pitcher of the Month took home the trophy as he collected a 3-0 record in 1 starts. The 18-year-old Saldana added 26 strikeouts in 26 innings and 6 walks to his season record and compiled a 1.04 ERA. Other clubs hit .182 against him. To date, Saldana has a 3-0 mark in 1 starts with a 1.55 ERA. He has given up 23 hits in 29 innings, struck out 31 and issued 9 walks.
