Roger Brown Sidelined for Season Sunday, July 30th , 2023 The doctors have spoken and Roger Brown of the New Orleans (R) Voodoo didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Brown sustained his season-ending injury during the Denver (R) Cutthroats game yesterday at PBC Rookie Development Complex. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the New Orleans (R) medical staff reported Brown had radial nerve compression and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months. Currently Brown has a record of 1-2 with 20 strikeouts and 12 walks in 22.1 innings and a 7.25 ERA. |
