Davis Cracks 5 Hits Monday, July 24th , 2023 Brett Davis was at the head of a Atlanta (R) hit parade at PBC Rookie Development Complex. The catcher went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Pilots to a nice 12-2 victory over the New York City (R) Gothams. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Davis told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Gothams skipper Paul Rudolph said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Brett Davis singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Miguel Feal in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
