3 Roundtrippers for Rosa Saturday, June 24th , 2023 Mike Rosa brutalized the Brooklyn Atlantics pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 10-9 Oil City victory at Atlantics Ballpark. The Oil City Oilers shortstop was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-5 with 9 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Mike Rosa today," Atlantics manager Greg Claussen said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Mike Rosa grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Danny Lara in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Willie Gradillas in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off Jaden Walker in the 9th. This year, Rosa is hitting .278 with 30 hits, 14 home runs, 31 RBIs and has scored 24 runs. |
