Jake Wright Named EAC's Best Player Wednesday, September 27th , 2023 Jake Wright of the Providence Grays had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Most Valuable Player Award for 2023. The 26-year-old right fielder put up a .305 average and a .409 on-base percentage, piling up 120 hits, 21 doubles, 8 triples, 20 home runs, 68 RBIs and 78 runs scored. He received 10 first place votes out of a possible 20. Abílio Pombares of the Oil City Oilers finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Andy Treloar of the Long Beach Titans finished third with 1 first place vote.
