Moyenda Batters New Orleans Big Time Thursday, August 31st , 2023 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. William Moyenda is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the New Orleans Buccaneers at Bucco Ballpark. The monster effort from the 25-year-old first baseman helped the El Paso Mavericks get the win, 6-1. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Buccaneers manager Joe Clarke. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." William Moyenda hit a solo-shot off Tyler Sims in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
