Long Beach Held Hitless by Harris Sunday, August 13th , 2023 Steve Harris was just plain nasty on the mound, overpowering the Long Beach Titans in a complete game no-hitter. The right-hander used his signature cutter to perfection as the Manhattan Liberty waltzed to an easy 11-0 win. "He was what the kids call 'filthy,'" losing manager Seth Mansfield said later. In a dominant performance, Harris faced 29 batters in all and finished the game with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks. "After the first couple of innings, I knew I had some good stuff going," Harris said. "In the bullpen, it really wasn't that good, to be honest. But when I got out on the mound and flipped the switch, I had some pretty good stuff." To date this year, Harris has compiled a 9-9 mark with a 2.87 ERA in 25 starts. View Boxscore |
