Elvin Baker Out for 10 Months Sunday, July 23rd , 2023 The Monarchs received bad news this morning. Elvin Baker will miss 10 months due to a stretched elbow ligament. He sustained the injury in the Manchester-Manhattan game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Baker sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." This season, he has made 14 relief appearances with 2 saves. In 22 innings Baker has chalked up 23 strikeouts while posting a 2-1 record and a 7.36 ERA |
