Aztecs Jones Suffers Injury Tuesday, July 18th , 2023 "I'm frustrated right now," said San Diego second baseman Bruce Jones. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Aztecs, that's where he will be spending 9 months. Jones suffered a broken bone in the elbow in today's game against Yuma while colliding with a player at a base. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." Jones is swinging at a .283 pace on the year with 12 home runs, 30 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has played in 39 games. |
