Nygaard Goes Deep 3 Times Sunday, July 16th , 2023 Brooklyn catcher Kyle Nygaard blasted three homers at Atlantics Ballpark in the 8-1 Atlantics victory over the Manhattan Liberty. For the game, Kyle Nygaard scored 4 times and knocked in 3 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Nygaard when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-4, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Nygaard told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Kyle Nygaard walked in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Adam Michaels in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jay Pugh in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jay Pugh in the 8th. So far this season, Nygaard is batting .276 with 15 home runs. |
