Neville Goes 5-for-6 Against New Orleans Monday, August 14th , 2023 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Carl Neville -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Garibaldi's Grounds and paced the 19-5 Peanuts win over the New Orleans Voodoo. After his dynamite batting performance, the San Francisco catcher told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Carl Neville singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Gary Birley in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th.
