Carlos Cruz impressed in the 5-4 Indianapolis win over Chicago. Cruz, who is tied for 6th in the EC in triples with 3, went 2 for 3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Erik Lee closed out the game, earning his 8th save. The Clowns move to 40-48 with the win, while the Union drop to 52-36.

With the game tied, 4-4, in the bottom of the sixth, Cruz had a key at-bat for Indianapolis. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Cruz hit a run-scoring single off Troy Moody, making the score 5-4, Clowns.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Cruz told the Indianapolis Today.
