The Denver Cutthroats topped the New Orleans Voodoo by a score of 10-6. Leading the way was designated hitter Stephen Barker. Barker went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Cutthroats. The Cutthroats sport a record of 57-27.

The Voodoo had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Cutthroats going into the bottom of the fifth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old first baseman Casey Batten came to the plate. Batten hit a grand slam home run on a first pitch fastball from New Orleans hurler Manny Mercado. It was Batten's 20th home run of the year.
