Bluebirds Rally to Nose Past Boston
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Nashville Bluebirds and Boston Shamrocks.
Nashville Bluebirds starter Mario Rivera was in midseason form, as he helped his team beat the Boston Shamrocks, 2-1. Today's win puts Nashville at 35-48, while Boston falls to 39-44.
Jordan Hernandez, who is tied for 6th in the EC in triples with 3, took Boston hurler David Guin deep in the bottom of the eighth. His solo home run put the Bluebirds on top, 2-1. In all, Hernandez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Rivera said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
