In a low-scoring affair between the St. Louis Lions and the Los Angeles Knights, pitcher Ryan Williams was the difference between victory and defeat. The St. Louis right-hander earned kudos in the 3-2 Lions win. Jim Jordan notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 2-1. The 4th-place Lions have won 4 in a row.
St. Louis used a timely hit from Chris Khaled to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to put the Lions ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"That was fun, that was just good baseball," said Khaled.
