The Denver Cutthroats bested the El Paso Diablos, 10-4, at Cutter's Cove. Mario Sanchez was one of the standouts. He went 3-5 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Armando Aguilar, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 4 runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 3-0.

With two out in the bottom of the second, Colin Montgomery put Denver in front, 3-1, with a 2-run single. The Cutthroats went on to win the ballgame.

"We want to make a habit of winning," Montgomery said after the game.
