Bluebirds Take Tight Tilt
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Nashville Bluebirds and New York City Gothams.
Nashville Bluebirds starter Sam Eagle turned in a sterling performance against the New York City Gothams, leading his team to a slim, 3-2 win. In 7.2 innings, Eagle surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run.
Nashville took a 3-1 lead on Nick Harris's 7th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Harris hit in the bottom of the seventh, left New York City pitcher Brandon Wilson visibly frustrated.
"It'd be nice to win by four or five runs," Eagle said, "instead of holding our breath the whole game."
The Bluebirds, at 33-43, inhabit 10th place in the Eastern Circuit.
