Though he had a terrific game, Mario Sanchez could not prevent his team, the Denver Cutthroats, from absorbing a loss. El Paso won the game, 6-5. Sanchez went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times. Earning the save was Tetsuhiro Kawakami. He's now cashed in 3 of 4 save opportunities.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Jeremy Barnes? The fan favorite Barnes stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put El Paso up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
