Victory Takes Motors to 35-31
|
The Detroit Motors called upon starter Ed Hill, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Washington Warriors, 6-2. Hill picked up the win for Detroit, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 9-3. Detroit bumps their record to 35-31 with the win.
Rico Garcia Jr. had a big 3-run home run for the Motors in the bottom of the first inning. With Detroit leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from T.J. Johnson and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Motors ahead, 6-0.
Garcia Jr. called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like."
