Denver Slaps 8-5 Loss on Lions
Though he had a terrific game, Bryan Norlander could not prevent his team, the St. Louis Lions, from absorbing a loss. Denver won the game, 8-5. Norlander was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Ki-tae Jung was the winner. He's now 9-5. The loser was 29-year old right-handed pitcher Jesse Pesa. The Cutthroats own a robust 43-17 mark.

Matt Kelly had a big bases-clearing double for the Cutthroats in the top of the third inning. With Denver leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from Jesse Pesa and swatted a double to left-center. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cutthroats ahead, 6-0.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Kelly.
