Clowns Come Up Short at Chicago, 4-3
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Chicago Union and Indianapolis Clowns.

The Chicago Union topped the Indianapolis Clowns, 4-3, in Eastern Circuit action at Trident Field. The standout performance belonged to Chicago pitcher and Fomento, Cuba, native Sergio Hernandez. Hernandez got the win, improving to 3-4. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Matt Boatright earned the save for Chicago.

First Baseman Joel Peterson made an impact for Chicago, when he swatted a run-scoring triple off Javier Mata in the bottom of the fourth. For the contest, Peterson was 1-3 with a triple and a walk.

Peterson called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."

The Union bumped their record to 27-16 with this latest triumph.
