The Denver Cutthroats thumped the Dallas Texans, 8-2, at Cutter's Cove. Casey Batten was a big reason his team got the win. Batten went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The Cutthroats improved their record to 27-15 by beating Dallas.

Colin Montgomery had a big 2-run double for the Cutthroats in the bottom of the second inning. With Denver leading 1-0 and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he got a curveball from Gart Jansen and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cutthroats ahead, 3-0.
