The Miami Sun Sox could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Tyshawn Dortch into a win. Instead, the Indianapolis Clowns prevailed, 5-1. Dortch threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Armando Aguilar nailed down his 2nd save. The losses continue to mount for Miami, which has now dropped 10 in a row.

Had Matt Jackson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Jackson hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Clowns.

Miami manager Barry Lolicht said: "Winning games at this level is tough. One thing here and one thing there will cause you to lose."
