The Detroit Motors used an offensive barrage to beat the Indianapolis Clowns, 10-1, at Blues Field. Gabe Espinoza, who is tied for 4th in the EC with a .594 slugging percentage, led the way, going 3-for-5 for Detroit. Detroit occupies 6th place in the Eastern Circuit at 27-25.

With Detroit leading 3-1 in the top of the fifth, Espinoza batted against Indianapolis pitcher Fernando Palomino. Espinoza hit a sinker to right for a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season put the Motors on top, 5-1.

Indianapolis manager Matt Mays called the blowout loss "not what we had in mind."
