Ball Mashes 2 Homers in 10-9 Houston Win

Runs were plentiful at Mavericks Ballpark.
In a high-scoring game between Houston and San Diego, second baseman Josh Ball was a difference-maker. The 27-year-old helped Houston grab the 10-9 win. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Houston is 8th in the Western Circuit with a record of 21-30.
Ball contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Houston in the bottom of the eighth. With his team trailing 9-6, Ball took a fastball from Jim Patterson and stroked the home run to center. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Mavericks to leap in front, 10-9.
"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Ball told the Houston Herald.
