Philadelphia Dials Up 3-2 Win
|
The Motor Yard was the site of a tense game between the Detroit Motors and Philadelphia Keystones.
The Philadelphia Keystones took Detroit pitcher Geoff Becker's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Motor Yard. The final score had Philadelphia getting past the Motors, 3-2. Becker went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs, striking out 7. The win was credited to 25-year old left-handed pitcher Evan Rich in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Jaiden LeFlore took the loss.
Sam Hall delivered a big hit for Philadelphia. The left fielder drilled a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Keystones ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit, but it was a beauty.
"It's Baseball 101," said Philadelphia manager Corey Anderson. "Fundamentals."
Philadelphia has now won 5 straight.
