Union Fall to Bluebirds, 8-2

A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Nashville Bluebirds and Chicago Union.
The Nashville Bluebirds downed the Chicago Union, 8-2, at Trident Field. The Bluebirds were led by Nick Harris. Harris went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Kyle Haley picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-7 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 2 in 5.1 innings, while yielding 2 runs.
Justin Hughes had a big 2-run double for the Bluebirds in the top of the third inning. With Nashville leading 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Jason Zierer, who is tied for 3rd in the EC with a 1.04 WHIP, and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Bluebirds ahead, 4-0.
Said Nashville manager Anthony Hort: "They come in every day and work hard. It's nice to see that work pay off."
Nashville is in 8th place in the Eastern Circuit with a record of 23-27.
