The Denver Cutthroats defeated the Minnesota Loons, 9-2, in Western Circuit action at The Asylum at Loons Ballpark. Denver pitcher Kadidu Akinshegun had a standout performance. Denver reliever Kadidu Akinshegun picked up the win, while Alejandro Hernandez took the loss for Minnesota. The wins continue to add up for Denver. The latest makes it 7 in a row.
Denver used the hitting of Casey Batten to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Cutthroats on top, 4-0. For the game, Batten had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
"We're in a little bit of a dry spell," said Minnesota manager Kyle Simmons.
