The Chicago Union scored a convincing win at Trident Field, defeating the Philadelphia Keystones, 11-3. One of the hitting stars was three-time All-Star Robert DeRosa who hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 2. Chicago pitcher Jason Zierer got the win. He's now 6-1. Jon Brandman was tagged with the loss. The Union, at 18-12, sit in third place in the Eastern Circuit.

Joel Peterson had a big bases-clearing double for the Union in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Chicago leading 5-2 and the bases loaded, he got a cutter from 32-year old left-handed pitcher Christophe Georges and swatted a double to right. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Union ahead, 8-2.

"What's not to like about a win?" said Peterson.
