Shamrocks Absorb 5-3 Loss at Blues Field
The Indianapolis Clowns picked up a win at Blues Field, knocking off the Boston Shamrocks, 5-3. Starting pitcher Cortez Crus was a big reason why. Crus, who led the EC in innings pitched with 177.0 in 2017, went the distance for Indianapolis. He gave up 3 runs on 10 hits. With the win, the Clowns have a record of 15-14.

The Clowns had to work out of trouble with one out in the top of the ninth. The score was 5-3, Indianapolis. But Boston, with a runner on 1st, had mounted a threat. Tamotsu Nishimura dug in at the plate. But on a first pitch sinker, Nishimura grounded out.
