Sun Sox Get Close Win Over Keystones, 2-1
|
Nathaniel Nevels pitched well, but the Philadelphia Keystones still lost the game, falling, 2-1, to the Miami Sun Sox at Keystones Stadium. Miami reliever Tyler Anson picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Nathaniel Nevels took the loss. Ryan Reutter picked up his 1st save of the season.
The Sun Sox beat the Keystones in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Jerry Tobar produced in the top of the ninth. Batting against Nathaniel Nevels, Tobar gave his team the lead, 2-1, when he hit a run-scoring single.
"Feels good to get the job done," Tobar said after the game.
Miami sits in 7th place in the Eastern Circuit at 12-15.
