Late Rally by Cutthroats Seals 5th Straight Win

Behind the hitting of Christian DeJesus, the Denver Cutthroats stopped the San Diego Roadrunners, 6-3. DeJesus was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs for the Cutthroats. Denver reliever Junro Yano snagged the win, upping his record to 1-2. Jonathan Benders shouldered the loss. San Diego's current losing streak is now 4 games.
The game was at a stalemate until first baseman Casey Batten came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing San Diego pitcher Jonathan Benders, he hit a full count fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Denver on top, 4-3.
