5-2 Win Gets Denver to 15-8
|
The Denver Cutthroats welcomed the San Diego Roadrunners to an night game at Cutter's Cove.
Denver turned a good performance from starting pitcher Keon Fox into a 5-2 triumph over the San Diego Roadrunners at Cutter's Cove. Fox got the win, improving to 3-0. He gave up 5 hits and walked 1 over 8 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Junro Yano was called on to finish, recording his 6th save.
Mario Sanchez, who is tied for 9th in the WC in extra base hits with 11, took San Diego hurler Tom Stuart deep in the bottom of the sixth. His grand slam home run put the Cutthroats on top, 5-2. In all, Sanchez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Fox.
The Cutthroats have now won 4 straight.
