Thunder Send Philadelphia Home with 8-3 Loss
The Tampa Bay Thunder took on the Philadelphia Keystones at Keystones Stadium.

The Tampa Bay Thunder earned a win at Keystones Stadium, knocking off the Philadelphia Keystones, 8-3. On the bump for Tampa Bay was right-hander Sipi Remes. He had a starring role in the triumph. Remes, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs.

The Keystones had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Thunder going into the top of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 32-year old catcher Curtis Fowlkes came to the plate. Fowlkes hit a run-scoring double on a 0-2 slider from Philadelphia hurler Nathaniel Nevels. It was Fowlkes's 6th double of the year.

"I liked his command," said Tampa Bay manager Ray McKay. "Sipi was throwing strikes."

The loss makes Philadelphia 11-12.
