Getting offensive support from Sandy Rivas, the New York City Gothams topped the Miami Sun Sox, 5-4. Rivas went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk for the Gothams. New York City reliever Guadalupe Cabrera picked up the win, while Ryan Reutter took the loss for Miami. The loss drops the Sun Sox to 6-9.

Rivas had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 2-1 fastball from Ryan Reutter, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Gothams a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Rivas.

Rivas told a New York City Herald reporter that he felt "like dancing the hula" after the win.
