The El Paso Diablos satisfied the home crowd at Inferno Field, treating them to a season-opening win, 2-1, over the Dallas Texans. Starting Pitcher Jason Roether was the standout performer for El Paso. Roether got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 4 hits and walked 3 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Ken Trombley recorded the save for El Paso, his 1st of the season.
