Diablos Dominate, Sweep Cup Qualifier
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Western Circuit Cup Qualifier. It turned out quite a bit different.


The El Paso Diablos swept aside the San Francisco Peanuts to advance to the Pro Circuit Cup, winning the final game by a 6-4 score at Garibaldi's Grounds.

The series MVP was catcher Luke Partee, who hit .571 with a .625 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.

"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."

The Pro Circuit Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the Cup Qualifier finishes.
