Diablos Win, Move to Within 1 Game of Pro Circuit Cup
San Francisco catcher Carl Neville pounded El Paso Diablos pitchers at Garibaldi's Grounds, but it was not enough to keep the Peanuts from falling, 5-4, in Game 3 of the Cup Qualifier. Neville belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, though he couldn't keep the Peanuts from slipping to a 3-0 deficit in the best-of-7 series.

It could have been a different outcome for El Paso, had it not been for Jeremy Barnes, the 25-year old third baseman . Barnes contributed a 2-run single in the top of the fifth inning to put El Paso up, 4-1.

"Every team in baseball loses," Peanuts manager Keven Berman said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Garibaldi's Grounds in San Francisco.
