San Francisco Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
The San Francisco Peanuts faced a challenging opponent in Denver Cutthroats right-hander Ki-tae Jung, but did just enough to squeak out a 3-2 win in Game 2 of the Play-in Series. San Francisco now leads 2-0 in the best-of-7 series. The Peanuts won despite the Cutthroats getting an excellent start from starter Jung, who allowed 1 run and scattered 6 hits over 7 innings.

Cole Blatchford, who finished 4th in the WC in hits with 108 in 2023, had a direct impact on the outcome. Blatchford contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put San Francisco up, 3-2.

Blatchford attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Garibaldi's Grounds in San Francisco.
