The St. Louis Lions took down the El Paso Diablos by the score of 4-3 and moved into a 2-2 tie in the Play-in Series. The largest share of the credit belongs to St. Louis starter Jesse Pesa, who threw 6.2 innings allowing 3 runs.

St. Louis took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Josh Leavens hit a clutch solo home run to bring Lions fans to their feet.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Pesa said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Lions Hearth in St. Louis.
